Under the Mountain - the movie

Breaking news- it has been confirmed that Maurice Gee's classic novel for children "Under the Mountain" is to be made into a movie - filming to start next year in Auckland.

It's great that they're remaking Under The Mountain, but does anyone know why The Halfmen of O hasn't been made yet? It seems that with all our incredible talent for character creation and CGI these days, we would be fools to not turn the countries foremost fantasy tale into a blockbuster!

The halfmen of O was brilliant, and I am not even from New Zealand.

Loved the tv series when I was a kid, but am worried that the movie might not live up to my childhood memories of the show!
